Being Cyrus...

Saw Being Cyrus last night.

Should I say it was another off-beat and out of the box concept? Well yes.

It’s only interesting to see how the Bollywood is getting metamorphosed from the main-stream rotten-love-story-based cinemas to cinemas like Being Cyrus that pricks you sub-consciously, and leaves you agape and aghast at times.

Being Cyrus is a good movie by this standard and more so when the director is a debutant. Naseeruddin shah and Dimple Kapadia have acted fabulously, but the one who is the nitty gritty of the whole show is Boman Irani. He is just fentabulous and as usual offers more than what is expected of him.

What can not be appreciated about movie though is the story line which ultimately nullifies the great performances of some great actors towards the climax. Saif Ali khan plays the lead role, but watch him just to hear the narrative as the rest is accomplished beautifully by the camera itself.

About the story, since there is nothing much, I better don’t say anything.

All I should say is that the movie deals with subtle humane emotions tinged with some frequent sitcoms and a realistic view of a parasi family.

Leave the slang apart. Please.
